This innovative virtual program will give you the opportunity to develop your Russian language skills and gain a better understanding of Central Asian people and culture through a variety of experiences. The communicative focus of the program is designed to ensure that you have many opportunities to apply the language in real settings with native speakers.

Intensive language study in this program is supplemented with topics in Central Asian studies, giving a broad understanding of the history, culture, economics, and geopolitics of the region.

The program, while virtual, is designed to incorporate key tenets of a study abroad program, including quality academics, exposure to culture and everyday life, development of “local” understanding and cross-cultural communication skills, expansion of network of peers and contacts, exploration of personal interests, and student support and guidance.

Bonus! Reward yourself for completing this intensive and experiential course with a $250 credit towards the Summer Break: Kyrgyz Adventure and experience horse trekking and hiking along with many cultural experiences. You will also be able to spend time practicing your Russian and exploring with the peer tutors you got to know during your online studies. Looking for immersion into Russian history and culture?
