Moscow: Russian as a Second Language

Study Abroad

Moscow, Russia's political and economic capital, is home to not only most of Russia's federal government, but also most of Russia's major businesses and the Russian headquarters of international corporations. The city overflows with NGOs, museums, and cultural institutions. All of this offers students an extraordinary opportunity to make potential professional contacts, understand Russia's current development trajectory, and to take in as much Russian culture as possible in one location. Moscow is also Europe's largest city and a major regional hub for all of Eurasia. It is a diverse city, with cultural infrastructure serving a diverse population. In Moscow, you'll explore all of this as part of your guided cultural program.

Moscow is especially recommended if you are looking to make Russia or Eurasia a part of your career. Moscow is also for those who enjoy a thriving metropolis, filled with places that you've read about in books. It is also surprisingly accessible, with highly efficient public transport, and very affordable with the current ruble/dollar exchange rate.

SRAS' Moscow RSL program is open to all levels during the academic year. At least two semesters (or equivalent) of previous Russian language instruction are required for the summer terms.

IMPORTANT: Dates for the summer sessions of this program are only finalized in February of the relevant year. The summer 2020 dates have just been confirmed (as of Feb. 4) and what is posted now is correct.
